- Azura Amphitheater (formerly Sandstone Amphitheater) is an open-air venue that has a variety of concerts during the summer. Located in Kansas, 3 miles west of I-435 on I-70.
- City Market. Head to the Kansas City (Missouri) City Market in the River Market area. Weekends and Wednesdays. Please see their web site for the schedule and directions.
- The Harry S. Truman National Historic Site. Start your visit at the park visitor center at 223 North Main Street in Independence, MO. At the visitor center you can get your ticket to tour the Truman Home.

- National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial. Located in Kansas City, MO near Crown Center and Union Station, The National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial is dedicated solely to the experiences of the World War I era.
- Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Located in Kansas City, MO near Country Club Plaza. The museum has a variety of art collections. A sculpture of giant shuttlecocks is in the south end of the 22 acre Sculpture Park and can be easily seen from Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd.
