Project Linus distributes handmade security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children. The Kansas City metro area chapter of Project Linus was formed June 1, 1997. Over the years, the chapter has changed names, changed coordinators, divided into 2 chapters and recombined into 1 chapter. Project Linus makes knitted, crocheted and quilted security blankets for children in the metro area. Volunteers to knit, crochet and quilt blankets and donations of new yarn, quilting fabric, and supplies are always welcome.
